Hammoudi-Story evaluation Angel

The human condition in the story is the innocent civilians in Iraq that get caught between the wars. The story is about an Iraqi child who is speaking Arabic and is telling the audience about life in Iraq. The child is filmed from the shoulders up, so the viewer doesn’t know the child’s limbs have been cut off. About half way through the video the child tells the audience that one day he walked over a landmine and his legs were blown off, revealing his distorted figure. The story is somewhat visually graphic, but at the same time intruding because the child is telling the story and the view gets to see his perspective on life and the war. I think this story has a broad audience appeal. The story taps into sympathy emotion bring the viewer to what to learn more about the child speaking.
